These are fun to make and keep me working when I am exhausted otherwise. I am realizing how important it is to do some artwork every day...ideas comes to you only when you are actively working. If you stop, it's easy to get...distracted. Spending lots of time with my 4 year old niece this summer was great fuel for my creativity. She wants to start in on art projects as soon as she steps out of bed at 7 AM, before anything else in the morning. It was wonderful to be part of that with her.

Here are some things I have been working on lately, kind of a Maine summer theme. I am always flip-flopping between oil painting, print making, drawing, and collage.

I painted these as a gift to decorate the nursery of Dave and Cecile's new baby, my niece Liligrace.
